How to get rid of constipation?

Rarely would you find people talking about constipation problems, or what others call potty problems. It is like an embarrassment. The question however is, what causes you to have pain when passing out stool or difficulty when passing stool? In the worst-case scenario, what makes you not to go to the toilet for close to five days? The answer is simple, lacking a proper diet, a diet that has enough fibre and water. Now that you know what causes it, I am sure you are wondering how to get rid of constipation. It is an easy thing that you can do by yourself. This is how. (constipation tips are taken from ianswerit.org)

Take Baking soda when you feel vulnerable
Whenever you feel or suspect that you are constipated, take a half a spoon of baking soda in warm water. Baking soda has bicarbonate that neutralizes the acid in your stomach and makes your oesophagus an easy passage of food and water. It relives the stomachaches that come with constipation.

Take Epsom salt
You can find this commodity easily in your supermarket and keep it in your drawer. One most important component in this salt is the magnesium that is contained in the salt. Once taken, it absorbs water from the body surroundings, mixes up with the stool, and makes passing out stool less of a struggle. It also helps in the contraction of the bowel muscles and makes passing stool less of a challenge

Prune juice should be your friend
Most people are not familiar or do not classify prune juice as their favourite, it is an essential in battling constipation. The main reason is that it contains an insoluble substance called Sorbitol. Sorbitol is not easily digestible and goes down the stomach absorbing water from the surrounding. As it reaches the excretion organs, it mixes up with stool and softens it
The above-mentioned ways are the immediate responses that you should give to constipation once you fall victim to it, or when you feel you are about to fall victim. The remedies that have been provided below are long term goals that will help prevent constipation.

Take the coffee more often
Coffee has caffeine. Caffeine is a digestive stimulant that helps in proper digestion and ingestion of the food. A cup or two a day is good, but more than that can be a cause of constipation itself because you get rid of the water in your body by constantly urinating.

Avoid artificial processed food
Nutritionists confirm that natural foods contain fibre more than the artificial food. This is the main weapon that actively and effectively fights constipation because it is not digestible and it acts like a sponge that absorbs water and make stool less hard. Greens like fruits, vegetables, nuts and beans are a great source of fibre.

Avoid long hours of sitting
After eating, about an hour or two later, you should be moving your body. You should either walk or engage your body in exercises that will make the different parts of your body active. Mostly, we are targeting the colon. Sitting around after eating clogs the colon and makes you vulnerable to constipation. Move around, make your colon more flexible, and keep constipation away.
